An atomic clock is a clock device (time standard) that uses a hyperfine transition frequency in the microwave, or electron transition frequency in the optical or ultraviolet region of the electromagnetic spectrum of atoms as a frequency standard for its timekeeping element. Atomic clocks are the most accurate time and frequency standards known, and are used as primary standards for. Atomic Clock Sync is especially useful to users with quirky Windows OS that cannot keep track of time. Whether the time is wrong because of faulty Windows or because the server time on workgroup is wrong, Atomic Clock Sync will re-adjust the time once a day (or more often) so that the time shown in system tray is as close to the actual time as possible. I bought a couple of apps that connect to the Atomic time server and although they work well, all they can do is show me the time difference between the iPhone clock and the real time on the Atomic clock server (offset). I wrote to the app's manufacturer and they told me that apple will not allow them access to the iPhone's clock so that it can be corrected. I am just wondering why. I really hope it is not because apple plan to launch a new phone sometime in the future with this function! I know it must be possible and relatively easy for apple to enable this feature on the iphone so please somebody please explain to me the real reason for this. Almost every phone I have ever owned has had the ability to be updated and synced by either my pc or some app, so I really can't understand why apple would have disabled this feature. I have my clock set to automatically update itself but it is ALWAYS about 30 seconds off! What's the point of that? Does anyone know of any way to enable this feature so that my iphone clock updates itself every time I connect it to my PC for example? Many Thanks in advance for your help.
